NYUNGWE FOREST NATIONAL PARK

Nyungwe Forest is one of the largest mountainous rainforests remaining in Africa and boasts 13 rare primates species like colobus monkeys and chimpanzees.The forest is located in the Albertine Rift,a series of mountain ranges beginning at the Rwenzori Mountains in western Uganda and Congo. Nyungwe Forest is known for its rich diversity of flora,canopy of 50 to 60 m high and 13 varieties of primates(68 species of mammals).
